[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I will admit that I don’t get this candy-store, Care Bear kind of a look but also realise it’s not particularly aimed at my demographic (nothing much is!). If you’re keeping abreast of your Easy Bake shades, you’ll know that the last iteration was Cherry Blossom Cake and this Electric Lilac version is designed to be a brighter and rosier shade of that.

‘Baking’ in beauty terms means applying a thick layer of loose powder to the face to set your make up. You leave it on for five to ten minutes while the warmth of your skin helps the powder to melt into your complexion.

Joining the launch of Ube Birthday Cake (official launch date is 10th January) is a new shade of Faux Filler Gloss called UUU-Baby which is a very sheer, creamy lilac shade.

And a new shade of Blush Filter called Ube Cream. No, I don’t know why either. I’ve used this on my eyes and prefer it there although I might wear it on my cheeks as well depending on how brave I’m feeling.

I’m wearing both the gloss and just getting ready to buff the blush.

Not sure I’ve done Huda justice but you know – always happy to give things a go! Easy Bake Loose Ube Birthday Cake is £28, Blush Filter Ube Cream Blush is £22 and the Faux Filler gloss is £18. Would you go lilac or shall we leave it to the Care Bears?
