It’s nearly time for the only award show for actors, by actors.
The 2025 Screen Actors Guild Awards will stream live on Feb. 23 at 8 p.m., and are set to honor recipients across 15 solo performance and ensemble categories in both television and film, from Best Cast in a Motion Picture to Best Stunt Ensemble in a Television Series.
Each year, the SAG Awards are among the more emotional of award ceremonies, as actors vote for their peers across the big screen and the silver screen. At this year’s ceremony, the frontrunners have already been highly decorated throughout award season, with Anora, Conclave, Emilia Pérez, Wicked and A Complete Unknown earning nominations for Best Cast in a Motion Picture while its stars have earned individual nods.
Meanwhile, television frontrunners have come back into focus. Shogun, The Diplomat and Bridgerton are among the casts who have received nods in the drama categories while Shrinking, Abbott Elementary and The Bear earned their own spots in the comedy categories.
And because it is a performance-based ceremony, stunt crews will also finally earn their flowers. The Fall Guy, Wicked, Deadpool & Wolverine, Dune: Part Two and Gladiator II received nods for their motion picture stunts. Meanwhile, action-packed series like Shogun, The Boys, House of The Dragon, The Penguin and Fallout also earned nominations.

Who is nominated for the 2025 SAG Awards?
The nominees for the SAG Awards range from The Substance’s Demi Moore to Hack’s Jean Smart. The 31st annual ceremony is also where many actors who were snubbed from events like the Oscars and the Emmys. The Last Showgirl’s Pamela Anderson and Jamie Lee Curtis, The Piano Lesson’s Danielle Deadwyler Queer’s Daniel Craig and Wicked’s Jonathan Bailey, though not recognized by The Academy for nods at the Oscars, did receive nods for their performances across their respective categories.
Jane Fonda will also receive the evening’s biggest honor, nabbing a Lifetime Achievement Award from the SAG-AFTRA foundation. (See every nomination here.)

Who is hosting the SAG Awards 2025?
The 31st Annual SAG Awards will be hosted by Nobody Wants This star Kristin Bell, breaking its quasi-tradition of having no host (although the show has historically been done without a host, Bell herself broke the streak back in 2018, with Megan Mullally hosting the following year before it returned to its no-host tradition leading up to this year). Following the Los Angeles wildfires in January, the Gossip Girl alum admitted that she wanted the show canceled, before ultimately having a change of heart.
“I realized these awards shows are a huge part of Los Angeles' economy, employing hundreds, if not thousands, of gig workers: drivers, hair and makeup artists, musicians,” Kristin explained to USA Today. “It's actually paramount we have them so these people can work. At first, it felt superfluous to have an awards show. Then I thought, I know so many people who lost homes in the fire. All they're begging for is a night of normalcy and funny laughs.”
As Bell put it, “I felt like we could give them both.”
