Prime Video has announced a major cast update for the upcoming second season of its new hit coming-of-age TV show. This comes over two weeks after Off Campus Season 1 debuted all of its eight episodes on Prime Video.

Who are the new leads for Prime Video’s Off Campus Season 2?

According to THR, Off Campus Season 2 will now revolve around the love story of a different couple in the form of Dean Di Laurentis and Allie Hayes. Series regulars Stephen Kalyn (Gen V) and Mika Abdalla (Sex Appeal) are officially coming back for the next installment as the show’s newest leads, replacing Season 1’s Ella Bright and Belmont Cameli. They will reprise Season 1 fan-favorites Dean and Allie, respectively. Season 2 will be based on author Elle Kennedy’s The Score novel, which is the third installment in her popular book series.

“I consider [Episode 6] a pilot episode or a soft launch for season two and what you’re going to expect,” Kalyn said in a statement. “I was so grateful to learn from Ella [Bright] and Belmont [Cameli] and watch those two great phenomenal actors lead season one.”

Abdalla added, “I truly love working with Stephen so much. We didn’t get to do very many emotional scenes together [in season one], but when we did, we really fed off of each other in a really fulfilling way. I’m excited that I get to do this with him because I trust him so much. I trust that he will be there for me, and I will be there for him on days that are more intense than anything we experienced in season one.”

According to showrunner Louisa Levy, Bright and Cameli are still expected to be part of Season 2, promising fans that Hannah and Garrett’s story will continue in the next installment. “We are so excited to continue Allie and Dean’s story as our primary romance of season two after kickstarting their romance in season one. But if you fell in love with Hannah and Garrett, don’t worry — they will still be an integral part of our robust ensemble. We’re looking forward to telling the next chapter of everyone’s story,” she explained.

Off Campus is executive-produced by showrunners Louisa Levy and Gina Fattore, with Levy serving as its series creator. Wyck Godfrey, Marty Bowen, and James Seidman of Temple Hill are executive producing alongside Leanna Billings of Billings Productions and Neal Flaherty. So far, the show currently has a 93% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
