Since its release on February 28, 2025, Dabba Cartel has been among Netflix’s top series and fans can’t stop wondering if there will be a Season 2. The first season’s finale ended on a cliffhanger with many questions unanswered. But, has Dabba Cartel been renewed for Season 2, or has it been canceled? Here are all the details.

Is Dabba Cartel Season 2 canceled or renewed?

As of now, Netflix has not officially announced whether Dabba Cartel is renewed for Season 2 or canceled. But, it is likely to be renewed.

The show’s cliffhanger ending has fueled speculation about a potential continuation. Further, writer Bhavna Kher has added to the curiosity, hinting that Season 2 is in the works.

Speaking on the matter to MensXP, Kher mentioned, “I’ll let you know the moment I know. On a serious note, this is an answer only the creators can give. But, I can only hope, it happens very, very soon.” This response indicates that while no official plans have been announced, there is a strong possibility that Dabba Cartel Season 2 is being worked on.

The Season 1 of Dabba Cartel laid the groundwork for future episodes, leaving several storylines open-ended. For instance, Raji is forced to work for the cartel after being forced to kill a key character. On the other hand, Shaheeda and Preeti’s arc remains unresolved. Preeti is determined to figure out what is going on between Shaheeda and Varuna. Lastly, what will Pathak do since he connected the dots between Modella and Meethai?  

Additionally, the show drops subtle references to Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai (2010), with Shabana Azmi’s character mentioning a mafia figure named Sultan Mirza. It is a nod to Ajay Devgn’s role in the 2010 film. When asked if the two stories are connected, Kher playfully responded, “What do you think? It’s like how you’ve made that connection yourself. The idea is to leave breadcrumbs for the audience.”

All in all, if renewed, Dabba Cartel Season 2 has plenty of material to work with.
