Gwyneth Paltrow’s latest real estate move has caught attention, sparking interest in the story behind her Los Angeles property sale. Known for her impeccable taste and lifestyle ventures, the actress and entrepreneur has made headlines with her decision to part ways with a longtime residence. So, has Gwyneth Paltrow sold her Los Angeles home?

This article delves into the details of the property, the motivations behind the sale, and what this means for Paltrow’s evolving personal and professional life.

Gwyneth Paltrow plans to downsize as she sells her Los Angeles home

Gwyneth Paltrow recently sold her longtime Los Angeles mansion for $22 million, according to The Wall Street Journal according to People. The 8,000-square-foot property, located in the Mandeville Canyon area of Brentwood, was initially listed in May 2024 for $29.99 million before experiencing price reductions. Despite selling below the original asking price, the transaction was still highly profitable. Paltrow originally bought the home with her ex-husband, Chris Martin, for $9.95 million in 2012.

Originally built in the 1950s and remodeled in 2009, the single-story home spans two-thirds of an acre. It features six bedrooms, a chef’s kitchen with double cooktops, and a wood-burning oven. The home also boasts high ceilings and expansive windows, allowing natural light to flood the interiors. Reclaimed wood floors and patterned stonework add to the estate’s charm. Outside, the property is surrounded by mature trees and tall hedges, ensuring privacy.

The estate also includes a one-bedroom guesthouse. This additional space boasts amenities like a gym, wine cellar, movie theater, and game room. Lea Porter of The Beverly Hills Estates described the property as a private oasis blending tranquility and comfort.

Paltrow’s decision to sell coincides with personal milestones, including her youngest child Moses’ high school graduation in 2024. Now an empty nester, the actress chose to downsize. She plans to focus on her homes in Montecito, California, and Amagansett, New York. Married to Brad Falchuk since 2018, Paltrow and her family are planning to split time between these locations.
