Gleb Savchenko is returning to acting in the microdrama You Messed With the Wrong Nerd!

The 42-year-old Dancing With the Stars pro dancer has been cast in the GoodShort production in a guest-starring role, TheWrap reveals.

Gleb will portray mafia king Joe James, “whose harsh exterior masks his deep loyalty and sensitive heart.”

“What really excites me about microdramas is, because it’s such a short turnaround, the actors have to be so precise, so spot on,” Gleb told TheWrap in a statement. “It’s a new, creative way to tell the story and pull the audience in and keep them entertained in such a short period of time, and that’s what modern viewer is all about.”

You Messed With the Wrong Nerd “follows the story of the ruthless mafia king, who after a fatal accident mysteriously awakens in the body of a bullied teenage boy. The series will implement GoodShort’s signature mobile-first formal and vertical storytelling.”

While Gleb is best known for being a DWTS pro, he’s not a stranger to acting. In 2023, he co-starred in the Great American Family movie Swing Into Romance, and earlier this year, he appeared on The Bold and the Beautiful.

Gleb is the latest DWTS pro to join a microdrama – former pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy was announced earlier this year to be starring in the vertical series Wild Silence.
