Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayGeneral Hospital is planning to give a proper on-screen conclusion to Robert Scorpio and Lesley Webber’s storylines. The writers made this decision after the recent passings of the actors Tristan Rogers and Denise Alexander, who portrayed the beloved characters. The audience can hope to see a fitting ending to their stories. This comes after the creators paid tribute to Dr. Monica Quartermaine in September.
General Hospital writers have decided to pay tribute to and create a memorial arc for the characters of Robert Scorpio and Lesley Webber.
Last month, writers Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten opened up about Robert and told TV Insider, “He is sorely missed, and we aim to pay tribute to Tristan and Robert the same way that we did for Leslie and Monica.”
Now, recently, the outlet spoke with Van Etten again, and he agreed with the idea of having a proper ending for Robert Scorpio and Lesley Webber. He said that their goal is to build stories that keep the characters’ names alive.
The writer explained, “Our plan is to absolutely do that. We want to make sure that we achieve the same goal that I think we have with the story of Monica’s passing. We want a story that will carry [Lesley and Robert’s] names into the future, so that we still feel Robert’s and Lesley’s presence for years to come.”
Further, Elizabeth Korte highlighted why the show treated Monica’s memorial carefully in September. She also revealed why similar tributes to honor the actors and characters are important and said, “Monica was a pillar of General Hospital. She was the heart of the Quartermaines, and the Quartermaines are our crazy, awesome family. It was very important to show the whole crew, and especially, Jason and Tracy, both for those characters and for those actors.”
