Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayGeneral Hospital fans are starting to question who really orchestrated the fire at Charlie’s, and many are pointing fingers at Jack Brennan, not Sidwell. While early episodes suggested Sidwell had a hand in the arson, fans believe his reaction and the later scenes hint at a much more calculated suspect.
General Hospital fans think Sidwell wasn’t behind the arson
The July 1 episode kicked off with Kristina walking into Charlie’s through the back entrance and immediately noticing gasoline on the floor. Moments later, a Molotov cocktail crashed through a window, setting the bar ablaze. Kristina tried to extinguish the flames but ended up screaming for help as the fire spread. Marco burst in and rescued her, shielding them both with a tarp as they escaped through the back.
Sidwell stood on the parapet at Wyndemere and made a suspicious phone call. He confirmed that he saw the job get done. While his behavior seemed shady, Sidwell emphasized to his contact that nobody should’ve been inside the place. Fans caught on to that nuance. One viewer commented on Facebook, “Sidwell isn’t the one who firebombed Michael. He was very upset Kristina was in the bar. I am really starting to think it’s Jack Brennan. He’s been playing the long game.”
Elsewhere, Jack lurked outside Carly’s window, and Joss caught him. He claimed he was testing her, but then tried to shift the focus to her mother. Carly updated Jack on the fire, and he responded with empathy, acknowledging her PTSD. However, his sudden appearances and murky past raised alarms with viewers.
Fans brought up Jack’s history with Valentin and the criminal syndicate that once targeted Sonny. “I think he still wants Sonny dead, but I also think he’s actually in Love with Carly,” a fan stated. Another echoed that Jack may still be after Sonny and could be using Carly and Joss for access.
While some fans still believe Sidwell is responsible, especially after his phone call, others argue that he tried to ensure no one was inside. The fact that Marco, his son, risked his life to save Kristina complicates the theory. Now, General Hospital fans must wait to find out whether Sidwell took a calculated risk or Jack acted on a secret vendetta.
