Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayGeneral Hospital fans have shared their thoughts on who’s best suited for Trina Robinson—Kai or Spencer. Introduced in 2017, her character is currently played by Tabyana Ali. Her first major romance was with Spencer, but it came to a halt when he fell overboard into the Seine, and his body was never found. After this uncertain ending, Trina grew closer to Kai.
General Hospital fans pick a partner for Trina
General Hospital fans took to social media to debate over who’s a good partner for Trina out of Kai and Spencer. Most fans stood by Spencer’s side, noting that their chemistry and bond spoke volumes. A fan wrote, “They are both good. They are different and bring different things, but you could tell Trina really loved Spencer.” Stating a reason to choose Spencer over Kai, another wrote, “Kai is more educated and stable, but Spencer was deliciously messy. Sprina wins.”
Comparing both characters, a third user wrote, “Spencer was cooler than Kai.” Many also hoped to see Spencer return, saying, “Spencer, I hope he come back soon.” Another user mentioned, “Definitely Spencer!!! He’s So Romantic!!!!” Unfortunately, not many fans agreed that Kai was a good partner for Trina. Few users believed that neither of the candidates is suitable.
In 2024, Spencer, played by Nicholas Alexander Chavez, confirmed his departure from General Hospital. He said on X (formerly Twitter), “I’m so appreciative of the opportunity that GH gave me, and I wouldn’t be as busy as I am professionally if it weren’t for the talented producers, writers, directors and fellow actors.”
Expressing his gratitude for the opportunity, he also shared that he has no plans to return. He added, “Frank Valentini [executive producer] is a mentor and a friend, and we’ve had some pretty extensive conversations about my future on the show. While there are no current plans for me to return, we are still talking very openly about future possibilities for Spencer in Port Charles.” (via Deadline)
