Jennifer Eckhart has tragically passed away at the age of 36.

A representative for the Martin County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed she passed away in Florida, with police seen at her home on Saturday (September 19). Police say she reportedly may have died by suspected suicide, TMZ reports.

Jennifer Eckhart accused former Fox News host Ed Henry of rape

She was a former associate producer for Fox Business Network, and made headlines after she alleged she was raped by former Fox News correspondent Ed Henry. She stopped working for the network back in 2020, ahead of the allegation. Henry, who denied the allegation, was let go six days after the allegation was leveled against him.

She eventually settled her case against him back in 2024. Her case against Fox News was dismissed in 2025.

In 2024, she said she hoped the “outcome of this case after four years will serve as a beacon of hope for trauma survivors everywhere,” and she said at the time that “the decisions I have made and how I have conducted myself through this process” will “set a precedent and serve as a blueprint for future sexual assault survivors in the workplace.”
