The Fall 2: Deadpoint trailer has the leads in an even more terrifying situation than the first installment. The Lionsgate film takes place in a different setting and increases the fight-for-survival intensity, inducing anxiety among viewers.

The official synopsis reads, “On a perilous climb across Thailand’s Mount Kwan, two climbers become trapped thousands of feet above the ground, where vertigo-inducing heights, sheer exposure, and impossible odds turn every moment into a fight for survival.”

What do we see in the Fall 2: Deadpoint trailer?

“You have to do something that makes you feel alive,” is a famous quote from Fall 1, which inspires the new lead of the survival thriller.

The trailer begins with a request made by two climbers who wish to venture upwards on Mount Kwan in Thailand. However, the snippets show the duo terrified of the situation they are in, 3,000 feet above ground. Although they manage to make it to the top, holding on to the fixed cable, they face a new challenge known as the ancient plank walk.

Things take an anxiety-inducing turn when boulders from above break the plank path, leaving the two women stranded above. Unlike the previous movie, which somehow had a slightly greater chance for survival, the new thriller establishes bone-chilling tension as the hikers’ cries for “Help!” are only met with the echo of their own voices.

Fall 2: Deadpoint is helmed by Peter and Michael Spierig, collectively known as The Spierig Brothers. It stars Harriet Slater, Arsema Thomas, and Tom Brittney. The story is written by Jonathan Frank and Scott Mann.

Mann is also known as the director of the first installment and creator of the vertigo-inducing survival thriller franchise. The writer-director also serves as the producer of the upcoming movie. Other producers include James Harris, Mark Lane, David Haring, and Christian Mercuri.

Fall 2: Deadpoint is slated to release in theaters on September 2, 2026.
