“Emily in Paris” star Paul Forman paid tribute to French actor Pierre Deny after his sudden death.

“Heartbroken to hear of the passing of Pierre Deny,” Forman wrote via Instagram Stories on Wednesday.

“It was a privilege to work alongside him and to witness his warmth and talent up close.”

Forman concluded the message, “Thinking of his family and loved ones. Rest in peace.” The actor, 32, included a black and white photo of Deny in the upload.

Deny played Louis de Léon, CEO of the fictional fashion giant JVMA, for the third and fourth seasons of Netflix’s series — Forman plays Nicolas de Léon, Louis’ son.

Prior to Deny’s death last week, the show’s star, Lily Collins, divulged that the cast is filming its sixth season.

“Annnnnd we’re back — for the last time. @emilyinparis takes on Greece (and of course France) for one final, epic adventure. Let’s make it the most incredibly special season yet!” she wrote via Instagram.

The actor passed following a battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) on Monday at the age of 69.

“It is with deep emotion that we announce the passing of Pierre Deny, which occurred this Monday following a sudden and severe case of ALS,” his daughters wrote in a statement obtained by the Daily Mail on Wednesday.

Forman is the first of Deny’s co-stars to publicly address his death.

The actor’s “Demain nous appartient” (Tomorrow is Ours) co-star, Luce Mouchel, reacted to his death on Tuesday, looking back on a “short decade of shared life that should not have ended so quickly and so brutally.”

In French, she continued, “I’m thinking of your daughters and their exceptional courage. Thinking of you, my last visit and your sparkling eyes, rest in peace, Dr. Dumaze 🤍🤍🤍.”

Deny’s death comes amid growing awareness of the debilitating condition — last week, “90 Day Fiancé” personality Jenny Slatten announced she’s been diagnosed with ALS.

“We cried and held each other,” Slatten told People of the moment she and husband Sumit Singh learned of her diagnosis.

Prior to that, in February, “Grey’s Anatomy” star Eric Dane died after a battle with the disease at the age of 53.

“Killing Me Softly With His Song” hitmaker Roberta Flack died in February 2025 at the age of 88, after her own 2022 diagnosis with the disease.
