Kanye West and his wife Bianca Censori earlier caused widespread controversy when Censori her black fur coat on the red carpet of the 2025 Grammy Award, held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, to reveal the sheer bodysuit underneath. Rumors started circulating later they were escorted out of the event, with many outlets reporting on the matter. However, this has since been disputed by other outlets, and West accused former CNN host and TV journalist Don Lemon of starting the rumors. This has prompted Lemon to respond, dismissing the allegations.

Don Lemon corrects Kanye West’s accusation about him

West and Censori’s appearance at the Grammys on Sunday, February 2, caused a media storm. Entertainment Tonight reportedly claimed that the pair showed up at the event uninvited and were escorted. However, Page Six later cited a source to report that West and Censori left the venue on their own.

On Monday, February 3, West reportedly took to Instagram and held Don Lemon responsible for the rumors in a since-deleted post. “This the goofball that started the rumor that me and my wife got kicked out the Grammies,” he wrote.

Lemon subsequently shared a video on the same platform on the same day and strongly denied West’s accusations. Addressing the rapper, Lemon claimed that he didn’t “start a rumor about you being kicked out of the Grammys,” but “actually corrected it.” He added, “I saw someone on your team who asked me to correct it because it had been reported everywhere.”

Lemon also took a jab at how West had voiced his support for US President Donald Trump multiple times. “Get your s— straight,” he said. “That ‘Make America Great Again’ hat must be too tight on your head.”

Notably, Lemon did say in an earlier Instagram post that a spokesperson for West told him that the 24-time Grammy Award winner did receive an invite to the event but was not forced to leave.
