Dolly Parton is providing an update on her health after she had to miss an event at Dollywood.

The 80-year-old singing legend appeared in a recorded video shared at the dedication of the new NightFlight Expedition ride at the Dollywood theme park on Friday night (August 14).

“I’m still in Nashville, and I’m sorry about that. I was supposed to be in person, like we planned,” she said in the video message.

Dolly opened up about her health issues as of late, noting that she sometimes gets “a little dizzy” and “dehydrated,” so she implied her doctor advised her not to attend.

“Now I’m dehydrated, and so my Nashville doctor kind of clipped my wings, saying, ‘You ain’t traveling this week.’ So I guess if your doctor tells you you ain’t traveling this week, you ain’t traveling this week!” she expressed.

That being said, Dolly did say things have been going “well on the medical end of things.” She’s also continuing work on her other projects like the “Songteller Hotel, and my Life of Many Colors Museum here in Nashville, and the Broadway musical in New York, and that is taking a lot of time,” she said. “But let’s just say I’ve talked enough about me, don’t you think?”

The clip also showed her with large butterfly wings emerging from her back and she used that as a way to convey the development of the NightFlight Expedition ride.

“I’ve had my butterfly wings flappin’ since May 15 when we were due to open the first time, and again in June,” the “9 to 5” singer shared. “But I know we had to make sure this is the safest, since it is the biggest and the most expensive ride we have ever added to Dollywood. So we’re gonna open it today. That’s why I’m here [in Nashville], because my little butterfly wings are getting kinda tired.”

She concluded, “I’ve been wanting to tell everybody about our great new ride, NightFlight Expedition, and you have fun, and I’ll see you down the road.”
