Deadpool & Wolverine star Dafne Keen recently revealed a condition for her potential return as X-23 in future Marvel movies. Keen made a cameo appearance as Laura, popularly known as X-23 in Marvel’s billion-dollar grosser, Deadpool & Wolverine. The 2024 superhero film led to the actress reuniting with Hugh Jackman, who reprised his role of Wolverine after they collaborated in the 2017 movie Logan.

Dafne Keen reveals her one condition to return as X-23

Actress Dafne Keen was recently in Los Angeles for the Saturn Awards, where she had a chat with The Direct regarding her future as X-23. After she impressed audiences with a cameo alongside Wesley Snipes’ Blade, Channing Tatum’s Gambit, and Jennifer Garner’s Elektra in Deadpool & Wolverine, fans have been waiting to see Keen return as Laura/X-23. When asked about her expectations regarding a possible future return for X-23 to the MCU, the actress said, “I would like to see her in a fun team-up. I would also love to see Laura in smaller stories as well.”

Keen also spoke about her fondness for the action in Logan and added, “I enjoyed playing her in Logan, which was much more grittier. So that’s fun…But I’d also be very, very open to a big whole action fight team up with the Avengers.”

Further into the conversation, she opened up on returning as the main Wolverine of MCU after Avengers: Secret Wars. Although Keen was enthusiastic about reprising the role of X-23 post-Secret Wars, she indicated that she’d also like to see Hugh Jackman’s Logan return. “Well, can we both [Laura and Logan] be there? Yeah? OK, good. If we’re both there, I’d be really happy.”

Talking about the relationship her character X-23 shares with Jackman’s Wolverine, Keen told The Hollywood Reporter in a July 2024 interview, “She’s a big emotional motor for Wolverine, and Wolverine is her entire emotional motor.”
