Pixar is giving fans a better look at what’s next for Coco and The Incredibles.
During the Disney Entertainment Showcase at D23 on Friday (August 14) in Anaheim, Calif., Pixar chief creative officer Pete Docter revealed new plot details and release windows for both highly anticipated sequels.
Coco 2 will bring viewers back to the Land of the Dead in November 2029. The story will take place a few years after the events of the Oscar-winning 2017 movie, though Pixar did not disclose any additional details.
Benjamin Bratt also took the stage to confirm that he will reprise his voice role as Ernesto de la Cruz.
“Coco holds a truly special place in my heart,” Benjamin told the D23 audience.
Disney and Pixar first announced the sequel in March 2025. Original filmmakers Lee Unkrich and Adrian Molina are returning for the follow-up, which will be produced by Mark Nielsen.
Meanwhile, Incredibles 3 is slated for summer 2028 and will place more of the spotlight on the Parr children.
The new installment will find Violet and Dash determined to step out on their own, setting up a new chapter for the super-powered family. Further story details and returning voice cast members have not yet been announced.
