Chief Keef has postponed a hometown Chicago concert that was set to be his first in the city in 14 years. (Although he headlined Lyrical Lemonade both earlier this year and in 2024, that’s technically in Bridgeview, Illinois.) The show, which was scheduled for September 12 at the Huntington Bank Pavilion, will now take place on September 23. The venue announced the decision over social media roughly half an hour before the show was set to begin.

The date is part of Keef’s tour behind his recent Skeletor mixtape. According to a statement from Live Nation, the show was postponed due to a travel delay on Keef’s end, which stopped him from arriving in time to perform a full show before the pavilion’s curfew. In an Instagram story, Keef credited his travel woes to a “pilot who got very racist” and allegedly canceled his flight, leaving the Chicago rapper scrambling for transportation. A representative for Chief Keef had no comment on the postponement.

“No I ain’t happy, yes I am upset,” Keef wrote in his post. “I know all of you anticipated this just like me ... And I'm sincerely sorry that this happened trust me.”

Keef’s tour continues tonight in Minneapolis before stopping in Detroit, Austin, New York, Los Angeles, and more over the coming months. Since dropping Skeletor in April, Keef has shared the one-off Katy Perry collaboration “Legendary Lovers (Save Me),” which announced the end of an old Twitter feud.
