The cause of death for Chad Lowe’s daughter Fiona has been confirmed.

The teenager, who was 13, died by suicide at the hospital on Tuesday, per a report from the medical examiner obtained by Page Six.

The Lowe family announced the tragedy in a statement on Sept. 29, saying, “We are deeply heartbroken by the loss of our beloved Fiona. She was a loving young girl who was smart, creative and loved to dance.”

“She was adored by her sisters and she was deeply loved by her parents,” the family continued. “In fact, she was the light of our lives. Her passing is devastating for our entire family and we ask for prayers and privacy at this time.”

The Lowes concluded the statement by sharing the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

Fiona was the second-oldest child of Chad and his wife, Kim Painter. The parents also share daughters Mabel, 17, and Nixie, 10.
