Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayComingSoon is exclusively revealing the trailer for Burning, the upcoming Kyrgyz horror film, releasing on IndiePix Unlimited soon. The film is inspired by Rashomon’s use of “fractured-truth storytelling”, with several characters recounting a story from their perspective. Burning premiered at the Fantasia Film Festival recently and won the Special Jury Award.
“In a village where grief hangs heavier than smoke, a house begins to burn — and no one can agree on why,” reads the premise. “A young family has just buried their firstborn son. In the weeks that follow, the mother wanders from door to door, pleading for help no one understands, then vanishes into the trees at the forest’s edge. The father’s mother arrives, uninvited, unexplained. And then, one night, the house is consumed by fire.”
Following this, the film shifts focus to three witnesses at a Kyrgyz village shop, retelling different versions of the same events. Each witness’s story shifts the blame for the fallout to different family members.

What do we see in the Burning trailer?
The trailer starts with a man, Marat, leaving his pregnant wife with his mother as he heads out of the village. Following this, the wife starts to feel new tensions arise between her and her mother-in-law. At one point, she finds herself in what appears to be a coffin, praying to her husband that his mother is trying to kill their child. Several unsettling shots of the family in turmoil are shown, as bystanders speculate on what resulted in the house burning down. One of the final shots shows striking imagery of the woman and her mother-in-law sitting at a dining table as the house burns down.

Burning is directed by Radik Ashimov. The filmmaker previously helmed the TV series Money and the films Konshunalar kinodo and Vanchopa. It stars Aisanat Edigeeva, Omurbek Izrailov, Kalicha Seydalieva, Zhanilai Isakova, Askar Kachkynbaev, Ruslan Orozakunov, and Meerim Kasabolotova. It is being co-produced by Sultan Pirzhan.
Burning releases on September 4, 2026, on IndiePix Unlimited on Amazon Channels.
