Emmy winner Brad Pitt recently confessed that Thelma & Louise co-stars Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon left him starstruck while filming the 1991 breakout role.

In a recent appearance on the New Heights podcast with Travis and Jason Kelce, Pitt reflected on meeting the acclaimed actresses. “When I first met Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon, I was. Yeah,” he admitted, before adding with a laugh, “I got over it quickly, though.”

The road film became a milestone moment in Pitt’s career, transforming him from an up-and-coming actor to a Hollywood heartthrob. In the movie, the acclaimed actor plays the role of a vagabond traveler, J.D., who woos Thelma (Davis) with his charm before robbing her.

Previously, Pitt had gushed over how Davis took care of him in the intimate scene of Thelma & Louise. The actor had told W Magazine, “Geena [Davis] was so sweet and kind and delicate. That love scene, I think, went on for two days of shooting. She took care of me.”

He also disclosed how he bagged the role. The Fight Club star recalled, “I just thought, I’m the guy for this. But they went through a couple of other actors. I didn’t get the part at first, and then it came back around and I didn’t get it again, and I went, ‘Huh. All right. Moving on.’ And then it came back around again. I feel like it was three times.”

In the interview, he also revealed an actor who left him starstruck at the beginning of his career. The former husband of Angelina Jolie gushed about how he met John Cusack within the first week of moving to Los Angeles.

The Ocean’s Eleven star noted, “I went to a Fishbone concert in the valley. I saw John Cusack, and that was the first I had ever seen a man or woman who actually worked in film. It was really strange, being in the same room with someone who you watched on the screen.”
