Boston Blue is returning for Season 2 this fall!

The hit Blue Bloods spinoff will return to CBS on Friday, October 9 at 10 p.m. ET.

Here’s a synopsis of the first season:

Boston Blue stars Donnie Wahlberg as Detective Danny Reagan in a universe expansion of Blue Bloods. Reagan takes a job with the Boston PD and is paired with Detective Lena Silver, part of a law enforcement family comprised of District Attorney Mae Silver, Police Superintendent Sarah Silver, rookie cop Jonah Silver and Rev. Edwin Peters. Reagan hopes to reconnect with his son, Sean, in Boston.

The show was officially renewed for a second season in December 2025 following its debut that October.

Season 2 will pick up after several major developments in the Season 1 finale, including Danny considering a new leadership role, Lena connecting with her biological father and half-sister, and Mae preparing for a contentious election.

There’s also one major character whose fate remains up in the air after a shocking cliffhanger, as well as the return of a Blue Bloods star.

Fans are surely wondering who’s coming back for the new season.
