After he won big against Lorenzo Sonego in the third round of Wimbledon 2025, the tennis pro made an adorable public plea to get his sister Emma Shelton more time off work so she can stay in the U.K. to watch him compete in the tournament's quarterfinals.
“My sister's here," Ben said during a July 5 press conference following his victory. "She's been here for every match I've played. She's been the lucky charm. But she has work back in the U.S. starting Monday. She works for Morgan Stanley."
The athlete—whose third-round win means he'll compete in Wimbledon's quarterfinals for the first time in his career—went on to ask for help from the crowd, who hilariously booed at Emma's unfortunate work schedule.
“If any of you all have some connections and can get her a couple extra days off so she can [stay and] we can keep this rolling," Ben continued, "that’d be great."
In the end, the 22-year-old's pitch was a game, set, match. In fact, Emma shared that she had been granted time off to watch her brother face off in the next round just several hours later, captioning a July 5 Instagram Story, per People, "Return flight: cancelled."
And Ben celebrated his sister's good news on his own Instagram Story as well, writing atop a video his sibling jumping up and down, "Shout out Morgan Stanley."

And while the soccer star said she is happy to be able to support her boyfriend for the event, she recently shared that she wasn't pleased when a Wimbledon commentator noted her appearance in the stands by describing the soccer star in relation to estranged dad Dennis Rodman.

“For Ben’s matches he has his family there as his support system which includes his dad,” Trinity wrote in a July 7 Instagram Story. “My dads not even in MY life no need to bring him up during HIS matches when I don’t even want him talked about during mine.”
The Olympic gold medalist added of Ben’s success at the tennis competition, “It’s him and his loved ones’ moment. Thank you.”
