Fox

The trailer for the upcoming Baywatch reboot has debuted and we have an updated cast list!

It’s been two years in the making at Fox after first being ordered to series in March 2024, but filming didn’t begin until earlier this year.

Fans looking forward to the iconic series’ return will have to wait a little bit longer as it won’t premiere until January 2027.

What is Baywatch about?

First hitting screens in 1989, Baywatch became the most-watched show in the world, airing in over 200 countries, and at its peak, reaching more than a billion viewers every week.

The series reboot will celebrate the franchise’s enduring legacy, while re-energizing it for today’s global audience. Fans can expect all the adrenaline-fueled rescues, tangled relationships, complicated chemistry and beachside heroics that defined the original — now with an entirely new cast, contemporary trappings, tensions and challenges, and a renewed mission to protect Southern California’s shoreline.

When does Baywatch premiere?

While an exact date has not been revealed at this time, the 12-episode reboot will premiere in January 2027 on Fox, with episodes releasing on Hulu the next day.

Who stars in the reboot and will original stars return?

The upcoming television show will feature an all-new cast, but four actors from the OG 1980s/1990s series have been tapped to reprise their characters in guest star roles.

In addition, a fan-favorite female rapper has been cast as a guest star!
