Anthony Head’s costars pay tribute to late Ted Lasso actor

Anthony Head’s co-stars from Ted Lasso and Buffy the Vampire Slayer paid tributes after his death.

Brett Goldstein from Ted Lasso called Head, “a brilliant actor who played the worst person in the world.” Goldstein called it “an incredible skill because he was the best person.” The actor continued, “Infinitely charming and kind and fun and a joy. He will be sorely missed. Love to his family.” Jeremy Swift wrote, “Goodbye Tony, we adored you, Rest in Peace, my friend.”

Buffy the Vampire Slayer stars were also not behind in showing love for Head. “Tell Giles I figured it out and I’m ok.’ Well I don’t have it figured out and I’m not ok,” said Sarah Michelle Gellar. She added, “But I know I’m the lucky one because I knew you. Thank you to Daisy and Emily who not only shared their dad with me, but with the world.”

Charisma Carpenter also had some emotional words. “Tony brought life to a character who, for so many, was the father figure they needed but didn’t have at home,” she said. Carpenter added, “Fans far and wide are surely grieving, and for that, I am deeply sorry.” Moreover, James Marsters shared, “There’s a hole in the World. Anthony Head has passed on from us. He was an unflaggingly kind and steady presence on the set of Buffy, and the best actor in the cast.”

Marsters continued that he feels “lucky to have known, and learned from him.” David Boreanaz and Eliza Dushku also had short but sweet messages for their late co-star. Emma Caulfield praised Head, writing, “He was kind and wise and a guide in troubled times. You were so loved. Impossible to caption. You are so missed. rest in peace with your beautiful Sarah-Emma.”
