Andrew Garfield has insisted fans will “find out” whether he is in Avengers: Secret Wars.

The 2027 blockbuster is being set up as the conclusion of the Multiverse Saga in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and Garfield, who portrayed Spider-Man in The Amazing Spider-Man series, has played coy about his future as the Webhead.

When MTV asked Garfield whether he would be in Avengers: Secret Wars, the 42-year-old actor said: “See, what it is, is this a tell? Or what is it? You'll find out!”

“Whatever response I'm having, is it exasperation? Is it? I don't know. You'll find out.”

The We Live in Time star was then asked which superhero he would most like to cross over with in the MCU, and Garfield revealed Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine — who most recently appeared in 2024’s Deadpool and Wolverine — topped his list.

He said: “Yeah, I love Hugh Jackman!”

Garfield added he would also want to cross paths with Tom Hardy’s Venom - who starred in Sony’s eponymous anti-hero trilogy from 2018 to 2024.

He said: “Tom Hardy is obviously a really formidable actor, and what he’s done with Venom is super fun. I’m up for a good time.”

Reflecting on the broader Spider-Man universe, The Social Network actor revealed he was a big fan of directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller’s Spider-Verse movies.

Garfield said: “I really love the Spider-Verse movies. I love Lord and Miller. Just putting that out there.”

Although Garfield now seems enthusiastic about Spider-Man, the actor previously insisted he wouldn’t be donning the mask any time soon.

He told GQ magazine: “I’m gonna disappoint you. Yeah, no. But I know no one’s gonna trust anything I say from now on.”

Even so, the After the Hunt star added he wasn’t completely opposed to playing Spider-Man again.

He said: “If it felt in line with my soul and was gonna be fun. Maybe I'm gonna have like five kids at some point, and I'm gonna need to start saving up for the school tuition or something.”

Garfield last portrayed the Wall-Crawler in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home opposite Tom Holland and Tobey Maguire’s versions of the Webhead.
