The Runner’s final trailer thrusts viewers straight into chaos. Alan Ritchson plays Hank, a former soldier racing to deliver a liver to a dying child. Owen Wilson plays Ben, a seemingly ordinary man who becomes an accidental hostage and then an unlikely ally. What begins as a simple pickup job unravels into a savage pursuit across unforgiving terrain.

A ruthless cartel, spearheaded by Rodrigo Santoro’s chilling enforcer, hunts the pair without mercy. The trailer flashes images of Santoro gripping bloodied scissors, a detail that signals the violence awaiting audiences. One of the scenes shows a bloodied Ritchson scanning his surroundings warily. Another shows Wilson clutching the vital medical cooler that holds the child’s only hope (via People).

Miles Hubley and Tommy White wrote the screenplay, which blends relentless action with bursts of dark comedy. After all, the trailer opens on an absurd note as Hank tries to leave a pet bird at his ex’s place but ends up becoming the third passenger in the mayhem.
