A recent report revealed some shocking backstage drama surrounding former AEW Women’s Champion Britt Baker. However, new updates on the situation have surfaced. Baker hasn’t competed since November 2024, when she faced Penelope Ford on Dynamite.

After her win, Serena Deeb confronted Baker, but she dismissed it and was seen saying, “Nobody cares” repeatedly. Since then, Baker hasn’t appeared, and reports indicate growing frustration within AEW regarding her.

PW Torch reported that Tony Khan is frustrated with Baker and plans to shift his focus to other AEW stars, leaving her uncertain future on TV. The report also suggested that Baker has a poor reputation in the women’s locker room, with many unwilling to work with her.

Although past incidents, including her clash with MJF, contribute to her absence, her general difficulty working with others has become a significant issue. With AEW’s women’s division now stronger, the promotion reportedly feels it no longer needs to deal with her tensions.

Tony Khan is reportedly no longer booking Britt Baker for AEW TV, as frustration with her has grown behind the scenes. A recent incident was said to be the final straw, with sources describing her as increasingly difficult to work with:

Following these surprising reports about Baker’s backstage heat, many believed she might be leaving the promotion. However, a new update has clarified that the situation has been blown out of proportion.

Report confirms AEW backstage heat on Britt Baker is overblown

Wrestling journalist Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer provided an update on the situation surrounding Britt Baker’s backstage heat. He reported that the stories circulating online about Baker have been greatly exaggerated. While she isn’t currently being used and there are no immediate plans for her, there’s no indication that she is done with the promotion.

Bryan Alvarez says Britt Baker is NOT finished with AEW.

“From talking to multiple people within AEW, the Britt Baker stories all over the Internet appear to be blown way out of proportion. She’s not being used and there don’t appear to be any imminent plans, but there’s nothing… pic.twitter.com/QqERUDz0as

Britt Baker, a top star in AEW’s women’s division, had a rough 2024. She returned at AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door, planning to start a feud with Mercedes Mone. However, reports have revealed that she had backstage issues with MJF and Alicia Atout, which resulted in a suspension.

With Baker back in the spotlight amid more controversy, it remains to be seen what happens next. Whether her time in the promotion is coming to an end is still uncertain.
