Upcoming Disney+ prequel TV show Adventure Time: Side Quests has revealed its trailer. The show has been described as the companion to the original Adventure Time series.

The official synopsis for the Adventure Time: Side Quests reads, “Adventure awaits a young hero Finn and his magical dog best friend Jake as they quest to party with cloud people and punch evil’s butt across the epic and fantastical land of Ooo in this all-new episodic series.”

What do we see in the Adventure Time: Side Quests trailer?

The trailer for Adventure Time: Side Quests shows a young Finn and his talking dog Jake embarking on a new adventure filled with unexpected moments. The clip features a vividly imaginative world true to the original, blending humor with heartfelt moments.

Speaking of the cast, Sasha Knight (Not Quite Narwhal, Cowboys) is voicing Finn while John DiMaggio (The Loud House, Futurama) plays the dog, Jake. The prequel will also see the comeback of popular characters such as Ice King (Tom Kenny), Princess Bubblegum (Hynden Walch), Marceline (Olivia Olson), and BMO (Niki Yang).

“Making Side Quests felt like making the original Adventure Time, which felt like hanging out with art school buddies making professional cartoons,” said Nate Cash earlier this year. He is the showrunner and also an executive producer on the project. Darrick Bachman serves as the Story Editor, while Victor Courtright and Niki Yang are the directors.

The prequel Disney+ show is one of many Adventure Time projects announced by Cartoon Network. An Adventure Time movie is currently in the works as well. There’s also another show in development, called Adventure Time: Hey BMO.

Additionally, a new comic series called Adventure Time: Quadruple Feature is also releasing soon this year.

Adventure Time: Side Quests is set to premiere on Disney+ and Hulu on June 29, 2026.
