Four seasons of Dana White’s iconic MMA series are part of the Paramount+ releases this week.

Premiering on August 4, Dana White’s Contender Series is a live MMA showcase featuring rising prospects competing for a UFC contract. Each bout carries high stakes, with fighters competing for a shot at joining the Ultimate Fighting Championship roster. Unlike reality-style fight shows, there’s no house drama, only matchups, performances, and immediate decisions from the UFC brass.

The series centers on Dana White, UFC CEO and President. Commentary rotates each season and has included voices like Brendan Fitzgerald, Paul Felder, Michael Bisping, and Dan Hellie.

Arriving the same day is Special Ops: True Season 1, a new Paramount+ Original docuseries. It pulls viewers into high-stakes global military operations through unfiltered, firsthand accounts and previously unseen footage. Season 1 features the Navy SEALs, Delta Force operators, Army Rangers, and Green Berets who actually carried out these missions, telling their own stories.

Another exciting Paramount+ release this week is The Challenge Season 42, titled Cutthroat. The new Paramount+ original series debuts on August 5, 2026. Shot in Thailand, the competition features 24 players divided into three teams vying for a $500,000 grand prize. The twist is that entire teams must cross the finish line together to win, with the victorious captain getting full control over how the prize money is divided.
